“The Newmarket Hurricanes are celebrating the magic of their last championship run with a dedicated ceremony for the 30th anniversary of the 1995β96 championship team Nov. 29.
The Ontario Junior Hockey League team will be honouring the then Newmarket 87s, which won the league championship and went on to compete at the national finals. The team will have several alumni taking part in the event, which will include a new championship banner raising, along with other festivities.”
